How do I know if my dog needs massage?
Many dogs can benefit from massage, not just those recovering from an injury. Signs your dog may benefit include stiffness, mobility restrictions, difficulty getting up, reluctance to jump or climb stairs, decreased activity, muscle tension, or slowing down with age. Active and sporting dogs can also benefit from massage to support recovery, improve performance, and help prevent injury.
Is massage safe for senior or injured dogs?
Yes. When performed by a trained professional, canine massage is a safe, gentle therapy that can be adapted to your dog's age, health, and individual needs. It is commonly used to support senior dogs with arthritis or mobility challenges, as well as dogs recovering from surgery or injury. Massage is designed to complement, not replace, veterinary care, and your veterinarian may be consulted when appropriate.
How many sessions will my dog need?
Every dog is different. Some dogs experience noticeable improvements after just one session, while others with chronic conditions, mobility concerns, or recovery goals benefit most from a series of treatments. During your initial evaluation, we'll discuss your dog's needs and recommend a personalized treatment plan based on their goals and progress.
